July 21: The body of a woman believed to be in her 30s was discovered early this morning washed ashore on Venice Beach.
Deputies responded to the 1800 block of Ocean Front Walk this morning at about 5:50 a.m.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department public information officer told Los Angeleno the investigation is ongoing. No foul play is suspected, but it hasn’t been ruled out.
July 23: Authorities identified her as Miriam Montufar, a 48-year-old homeless woman, according to the Daily News.
