Jay Som in Concert

Melina Mae Duterte just released a new Jay Som album titled “Anak Ko” via Polyvinyl, following 2017’s very well received “Everybody Works.” After touring the latter, she quit drinking, became a vegan and moved from the Bay Area to L.A., where she completed “Anak Ko,” a collection of intimate ’90s-inflected dream-pop exploring nostalgia and vulnerability. Affectionately, Boy Scouts and FIME round out tonight’s lineup of lo-fi indie pop meets electronica.
