Experience some of the finest innovative jazz from Los Angeles and beyond during the annual Angel City Jazz Fest, spanning multiple venues around town from Oct. 2-13. The festival begins with a magical pairing. Iridescent’s Nicole Mitchell and Christina Wheeler combine flute, harp, electronics and vocals to create otherworldly harmonies and soundscapes. Artifacts Trio bring together the talents of cellist Tomeka Reid, flutist Nicole Mitchell and drummer Mike Reed, all distinguished members of the legendary jazz collective, the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians.
