‘Strange Cures’ Book Event: A Night of Music, Magic + Memoir

Musician, actor and award-winning magician Rob Zabrecky shares some passages from his memoir, “Strange Cures,” a tale of self-discovery set against the backdrop of L.A. in the 1980s and early 1990s. From his FBI-impersonating uncle that took a shot at him while drunk to gigging around Silver Lake with his band Possum Dixon, Zabrecky describes the path and struggles that led him from the music scene to reinvention as a magician at Hollywood’s Magic Castle. L7’s Donita Sparks leads the discussion with Zabrecky, followed by live music and magic.
