Bikini Kill at the Hollywood Palladium

As pioneers of the riot grrrl movement, Bikini Kill‘s unique brand of feminist punk had an indelible impact on the ’90s and beyond. The group, known for being loud and outspoken, received constant death threats and hatred during their active years. Nevertheless, their attitude has inspired countless women and girls to pick up guitars, make noise and demand equality.

The band hasn’t performed a full show since breaking up in 1997, so it’s beyond exciting to get to see Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail and Kathi Wilcox, along with new guitarist Erica Dawn Lyle (replacing Billy Karren) live and loud on stage.
