Day-drinking is one of L.A.’s most cherished activities. Therefore, it must be honored with as many festivals and events as possible. In its 11th year, the L.A. Beer Fest features 200 beers from 80 domestic and international breweries, food trucks a-plenty and live entertainment.
It’s broken up into two sessions to accommodate the crowds: noon to 3 p.m. for folks who like beer for brunch, and 5-8 p.m. for those who sleep through brunch. General admission tickets cover unlimited tastings, but for a Connoisseur’s Ticket ($85) guests get access to air-conditioned bathrooms (fancy!), a taco bar and a special overlook deck where they can gaze upon the masses while sipping VIP-only beers.
Most importantly, Beer Fest proceeds benefit Noah’s B-ark, Inc, a non-profit dedicated to rescuing dogs from shelters and finding them forever homes. We’ll drink to that.
