When we launched in April of 2019, we did so with an L.A.-sized mission to help Angelenos discover and connect with their city in new ways, focusing on telling untold stories about L.A. life, culture and art. Since that launch, we’ve published over 500 stories in fulfillment of that mission — stories that otherwise would have gone uncovered. Whether it was our Affordable L.A. coverage on the rising costs of being an Angeleno, showcasing local artists who are breaking barriers, or just providing some (sometimes comic) relief during the pandemic, we have held tight to our mission of providing our city with the robust arts and culture stories and conversation it needs and deserves.
We have ambitions to tell many more stories like these in the coming years, as well as continue providing free and accessible COVID-19 coverage for the foreseeable future.
To do this, we need your support right now. If you value the work we do at Los Angeleno, we ask that you become a member today and encourage your family and friends to do the same. Memberships start at $5 a month and come with some amazing perks we’ve put together for you, including some digital event programming we’re excited about.
Your contribution will help fund stories that center our communities and the people that make a difference. From an inside look at Leimert Park’s Jazz and Blues Museum to a retrospective of L.A.’s one and only Satanic newspaper, with your help, we can continue to write the first draft of history in Los Angeles.
